I am reaching out to seek your expert advice regarding an upcoming firmware upgrade of our Azure Stack HCI environment. Below are the details
Server : HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10+ V2
Operating System : Microsoft Azure Stack HCI 10.0.20349
OS version & Build : 22H2 & 203492527
Current iLO Version : 2.97 Sep 12, 2023
We are considering upgrading the firmware to 2024.04.00.00 and released date is April 19, 2024, and I want to ensure that we follow best practices to minimize any potential disruptions.
Here are some specific points where we would appreciate your guidance:
- Compatibility: Could you confirm if the new firmware version is fully compatible with our current hardware and software configurations?
- Prerequisites: Are there any specific prerequisites or dependencies we need to address before proceeding with the upgrade?
- Procedure: Can you provide or confirm the recommended upgrade procedure, including any tools or steps we should follow?
- Known Issues: Are there any known issues or potential risks associated with this firmware version that we should be aware of?
- Testing and Rollback: What is the best approach for testing the upgrade in a staging environment and preparing for a rollback in case of any issues?
Your expertise and guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. If you need any additional information from our end, please let me know.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

SolutionHello,
I am not sure why, but the "HPE ProLiant for Microsoft Azure Stack HCI Firmware and Software Compatibility Guide" provides information about Gen11 servers and does not seem to provide information about Gen10!
Regards,
