Could I run windows update on Superdome Integrity Server?

Our superdome server(64 cores, 256GB) run extremely slow recently and I can't find the root cause out. I "feel" some vulnerabilities there. Although I have installed all QFEs but I am afriad that is not enough. Could I run Windows update? Microsoft says it better just runs QFEs verified by HP.
