HP DL380G7 with Hyper-V Win2k8 R2std and HP NCU VLAN Config Issue.
Hi I can't seem to get around this one. I have 4 x 1Gb Adapters with a VLAN config on each adapter using HP NCU, no Teaming also Windows Virtual Networks config in Hyper-V Manager.
Please view config below.
Adapter 1 > VLAN 1 > VLAN ID1 > Virtual Network Switch > VLAN1 External > Can Connect
Adapter 2 > VLAN 2 > VLAN ID1 > Virtual Network Switch > VLAN2 External > Can Connect
Adapter 3 > VLAN 3 > VLAN ID1 > Virtual Network Switch > VLAN3 External > Can Connect
Adapter 4 > VLAN 4 > VLAN ID1 > Virtual Network Switch > VLAN4 External > Can Connect
Can Connect = Has network and Inet Connectivity
Now my Issue is where I need more VLAN's so through NCU I Add another VLAN to Each Adapter
Adapter 1 > VLAN 5 > VLAN ID2 > Virtual Network Switch > VLAN5 External > Can't Connect
Adapter 2 > VLAN 6 > VLAN ID2 > Virtual Network Switch > VLAN6 External > Can't Connect
Adapter 3 > VLAN 7 > VLAN ID2 > Virtual Network Switch > VLAN7 External > Can't Connect
Adapter 4 > VLAN 8 > VLAN ID2 > Virtual Network Switch > VLAN8 External > Can't Connect
can't connect = No network or Internet Access
The Easiest way would be to add more Physical adapters to the Server, but I can't seem shake the feeling that it must be possible to Add more than one VLAN to a Physical Adapter.
