Re: dismount exchange
This is from MS article 254077
SUMMARY
In Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, when a mailbox store or a public store is created and mounted, a registry key is created under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ SERVER-NAME
The entry is Public-GUID or Private-GUID depending on whether it is a public store or a private store.
Mounting the database creates tables and initializes the database. If the database is created but not mounted, the registry entry does not get created.
Usually when Exchange dismounts, it will be because of some sort of error. Do you have an error number?
