DL380Gen10 with Windows 2016 continually crashing
We have an issue with 1 new Windows DL380Gen10 running Windows Server 2016. Server continually restarting. Workload is Hyper-V VDIs.
Gives no Blue Screen of Death. Just goes straight to POST screen.
Nothing logged in event viewers. The iLO5 shows an error.
Uncorrectable Error Detected on the Previous Boot. Error information logged to the Integrated Management Log.
Event Code - 0x469.
Call logged with Microsoft which is not really going anywhere.

Re: DL380Gen10 with Windows 2016 continually crashing
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Suggest you to disable ASR from BIOS and validate the status at the time of issue ( if its crashing or getting into hung state ). Along with that you may want to review AHS log to find out if any errors are recorded.
You may want to log a call with HPE Hardware team to validate the Hardware health of the server.

Re: DL380Gen10 with Windows 2016 continually crashing
DIdn't think of the ASR option. Will implement that.
Decided to remove all 3rd party agents (SCOM, SCCM etc) also HPE services installed.
Curiously took 4 attempts to remove Agentless management services - server crashed 3 times & all good on 4th attempt.
Currently installing all removed agents apart from AMS.
We had originally logged a call with HPE hardware support & no issues were found, hence call with Microsoft.

Re: DL380Gen10 with Windows 2016 continually crashing
I believe I had the same problem....see my post here:
https://community.hpe.com/t5/ProLiant-Servers-ML-DL-SL/DL360-GEN10-restart/m-p/7035340#M165695
and the advisory here:
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00050465en_us
I set the BIOS to "High Performance Compute" and have not see the problem since.
Hope this helps.
