EXCEL MACROS
Hi,
I want to export data from a notepad(.txt) to an excel sheet, but such that i have some specific columns in the xl sheet already and the data must go into the respective columns and rows. How do i achieve this, can a custom macro be created for this purpose?. Please let me know how this can be done. thanks.

Tools, Macro, Record New Macro, ok
Data, Import External Data, Import Data
locate your text file
choose file type of "Fixed width"
set your field widths and data formats
select the destination cells
Tools, Macro, Stop Recording
Run the macro, and repeat until you have the desired results
