Lately, I will be in the middle of working on an excel spreadsheet and I will
get a "This program has performed an illegal function and will shutdown" error
(along with an annoying sound). I end up having to close the program without
saving my work. Very frustrating as you can imagine. What's up?

						Scott,
You may want to check for viruses on your system. You may also want to set
Excel to save your spreadsheet every 5 minutes. You might try loading the
service packs available for your system and any other Microsoft applications
you have.
Good Luck,
Gerard

						Hi,
I suggest the following:
1) Increase the virtual memory of your Operating System (Control Pannel)
2) Activating the AutoSave Option on Excel: Tools/Adds-Ins/
3) Install any security software in your computer, like a Norton CrashGuard.
4) If you Operating system is Windows NT, check the Event viewer system:
Programs/Administrativo Tools/Event Viewer and you to identify the problem
(memory, process,...)
I hope that are useful.
I apologize for my english, Best regards.
