Expand Disk up to 2 TB
HI.
I want to expand dynamic disk up to 2 TB in a Windows Unified Storage.
Scenario:
The Disks are Luns from EVA each LUN is about 2TB
The idea is to attach each LUN to each other to obtain only one Disk about 16TB in windows; and use this as a fyle share.
Only one LUN is partitioned.
When I want to expand this DISK, I get an error in the Unified Storage or Storage Administration interface: You cannot expand the disk. And then all the interface close.
Can anybody help to resolve this issue, or explain the correct steps to configure this option.
thanks!

Re: Expand Disk up to 2 TB
This question should be moved to Windows support forum.
As a first thought, the disks need to be converted to dinamic to create a bigger disk.

Re: Expand Disk up to 2 TB
I don't think that you can that. What you can do is increase the size of the LUN in the Array, and then use "diskpart.exe" to extend the partition on the LUN (on Windows 2003).
W2K has a "diskpar" command, but I'm not sure if it extends partitions.

Re: Expand Disk up to 2 TB
Hi,
I think you will find the current max for each LUN for an EVA is 2TB so it will not be possible to extend the LUN onthe array if they are 2TB's already.
