Help - Did a factory reset on a HP dv6000 by mistake
Hi there,
A friend has mistakenly performed a factory reset on their HP dv6000 by mistake. It looks like they ahve lost all of their data. Is there any way at all that it can be recovered?

Hi,
You can try a program called Easy Recovery, made by the folks at OnTrack. I've worked in a couple shops that used that program, and it does work well. Your friend will want to have an external hard drive, or flash drive (depending on how much you need to recover). Last version of the program I have won't allow you to recover to the same partiton you're saving the data on.
