HP 530 No sound out when connected to skype

I have configured skype and can hear voice in. I am not able to record a voice command and the listener can not hear me. I have conexant hd audio input configured.
This is a simple one I am sure but frustrating me

And what version of HP-UX OS is this running on?
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!
