In place upgrade DL380 G4 Win2003/2008

I have a Proliant DL380 G4 that I am trying to upgrade from Windows Server 2003 to Server 2008.

Drivers updated to v8.30, firmware 8.60 before the upgrade, which appears to complete successfully, however on first boot the server hangs at crcdisk.sys. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have 3 of these which are domain controllers running certificate services.

I had the same problem.
Resolved it by deleting driver lsicsb6.sys from %systemroot%\system32\drivers (needed to boot from win2008 install cd for this)
