Microserver Gen 10 storage controller drivers - Server 2019
Hi all
Whilst investigating some network slowness I discovered that my server drivers weren't really set up properly since rebuilding it from a 2012 r2 install a while ago. I spent some time applying firmware and driver updates, but the one area I'm not sure about is the storage controller. There's only one driver listed on the support site for x64 Windows, but when I go to run the exe it tells me that it cannot find the necessary hardware.
There are no unknown devices or anything, but the recommended Smart Storage Admin tells me that it can't detect any raid storage controllers (is that just software-level?). The only storage controller in Device Manager is Smart Spaces or something like that.
At the same time, I do have a program in the system tray that seems to open up a Marvell controller URL that lists my RAID arrays.
Am I right in thinking that the Marvell controller is hardware-based, and as a result is dealing with RAID, and the Smart Storage is redundant?
What's the best way to keep that updated since the HP support pages don't seem to know about it?

Re: Microserver Gen 10 storage controller drivers - Server 2019
Hello there, if you're seeing the Marvell app installed it is probably because there's a PCI card installed on the microserver, probably Marvell 88SE9230 PCIe to SATA 6Gb/s Controller.
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sf000042182en_us&docLocale=en_US.
Also it seems that Windows Server 2019 isn't quite supported on this Microservers, according to the latest quickspecs here:
https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00008701enw
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2
Microsoft Windows Server 2016
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.4
ClearOS
Hope this helps.
