NC8430 - new Vista image & HP software
I just got an NC8430 pre-loaded with Windows XP. I want to cleanly install Vista (not upgrade). Is it possible to download and setup a backup partition with HP Backup and Recovery Manager? I cannot find a link anywhere.
Is there a Vista 'support pack'? Or, do you have to download all of the drivers individually?

Re: NC8430 - new Vista image & HP software
Rick,
I would recommend, (although it will cost a little) that you add a new drive and install on it. Then put the XP drive secondary in case you want to boot either.
I don't have Vista yet but have heard some things won't run on it, and other have issues.
This will give you options.
Good Luck.
Ken W.
