Outlook Calendar items and IMAP
I think IMAP is the problem but I'm not sure.
I've tried everything I know, including using Word but this helps only with emails not calendar items.
Please help - it's driving me nuts! Any workaround will do!

Re: Outlook Calendar items and IMAP
IMAP just is a format/protocol for the e-mail transportation.
I do not see how this might provide anything for solving your problem.
You might try some Autotext utility like "Phrase Express"
http://www.phraseexpress.com/
or AutoHotkey
http://www.autohotkey.com/

Re: Outlook Calendar items and IMAP
I just did a test and I was able to open a document in Word and copy/paste text into an Outlook appointment. I was also able to insert an entire file.
If you want something with more automation, I would explore using a Macro.
Make a great day!

Re: Outlook Calendar items and IMAP
I don't understand why IMAP impacts on Outlook's features either... but apparently it does.
The suggestion of opening a Word document then using copy and paste is great and is close to a workaround - but takes too long. What I was hoping for was a template with the text already in place or an autotext feature where we can just drop it in.
I'll take a look at those links.
Cheers

Re: Outlook Calendar items and IMAP
|| but apparently it does.
Sorry, Jackie, I cannot see any connection.
The calendar has absolutely nothig to do with the mail-transfer.
How did you arrive at this assumption?
Could you explain a bit more?
If you delete the IMAP accounts, do you see the feature you are looking for?
I do not anything in OL which would do what you are after.
