						Abt 3 yrs ago when my DV6211TX was new I had this problem and was told to try this below which works 
Unplug the AC power and remove the battery. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds then reinstall the battery and plug in the Ac power.
Press the start button and at the same time slowly tap F10, when the window opens press F9 and then enter, then F10 again and OK.
This should fix the problem for a while. I have followed this a few times since
