SBS2008 -> ML150 G6 : installation impossible
Hello,
I have a big problem with a ProLiant ML150 G6 wanting install SBS2008 (x64).
Upon installation, during the first reboot, I have activity on the network card + the led in front. By continuing the installation, Windows says it can not find the NIC. Indeed the Ethernet controller device is unknown.
Since a USB drive I put the last driver made on the website HP Windows said ok, the device is activated in the manager but this time I have more activity on the card or a front! !
If I uninstall the driver then the activity returns to normal but I have no network. Unable to continue installation !!
I disable the NIC controller in the BIOS, and installing a PCI network adapter (Netgear) in the server, everything is ok.
I can "safely" continue my installation except a few minutes later the SBS console stops being installed and he told me: "The DNS forwarders can not be deleted"!
I am forced to "cancel", the server restarts.
Then I enter the office, the service is stopped dnsclient.exe. I raise my hand access to the internet but I can not continue.
I am handling seen on http://technet.microsoft.com/fr-fr/library/cc546471%28WS.10%29.aspx but the problem is identical.
All equipments are new
I haven't DHCP on my lan
I have only one NIC actived
I flash the bios with SP44791.exe 2009.07.06 (A) (18 Aug 2009)
I install my serveur with ml150g6 easysetup 2.00 (b) (20 Aug 2009)
I launch HP Insight Diagnostics Offline Edition sp40157.exe 8.1.102.2773 (29 Jul 2008)
Everything is perfect, no error !!!
I really do not know what to do to install my server :(

Re: SBS2008 -> ML150 G6 : installation impossible
I just finished my installation server and with no other option but to use an additional network card because the driver integrated into the motherboard will not work. For DNS problems that came from another SBS2003 on the local network that interferes with the SBS2008 installation.

Re: SBS2008 -> ML150 G6 : installation impossible
May be yout network was unusable after installing nic drivers because the nic can't negotiate speed with the switch; the problem was solved using a 100MBps nic.
It's only a hypothesis, but it's plausible I think ;)
