Set-HPEBIOSAdminPassword in BIOS PS module v4.0.0.0 isn't supported for Gen11
Hello,
To configure our Gen11 servers we're forced to use the most recent BIOS powershell module v4.0.0.0. Before we used BIOS powershell module v3.0.0.0 which supported Gen9 and Gen10 servers. The cmdlet Set-HPEBIOSAdminPassword in v3.0.0.0 did work perfectly for Gen9 and Gen10 servers, but isn't supported for Gen11 servers in the newer version v4.0.0.0. To be sure I tried to test it several times for a Gen11 server., but it doesn't work. The get-help mentions that still only Gen9 and Gen10 servers are supported. It looks like one has forgotten to update this cmdlet. Now, there is no other possibility to do this manualy for Gen11 and is a step backwards. Has anybody else the same experience ?

Hi @AMG-WSI ,
Please refer this document (Page no. 10). The command Set-HPEiLOAdministratorPassword may work for iLO6.

Hi @shiva_jr ,
It's not the ILO password, but the BIOS password in order to protect the BIOS settings.

Re: Set-HPEBIOSAdminPassword in BIOS PS module v4.0.0.0 isn't supported for Gen11
I have the same problem. I want to configure the BIOS Password for a GEN11 Servers.
The Powershell Script ConfigureBIOSAdminPassword.ps1 (V4.0.0.0) did not work with GEN11 Servers "BIOS Admin Password is not supported on Server XXX".
