Setting Duplex and Speed Mode by script - Broadcom GiGa Nextreme of course :-)
Hello
We would like to be able, like with Intel's Nic (FDSSet.vbs and/or SETSPEED.EXE), to set by script the Duplex and Speed mode of the Broadcom's NIC.
I'm note a WMI expert at all, but my comprehension is that the FDSet.vbs use Intel's WMI classes. I looked around and don't think the default Windows's Class offer the duplex/speed settings, am I wrong?
There is the Ethtool on linux.. is there someting comparable for windows ? Damn Broadcom, the amount of probleme around this brand (Altiris, Dos Communication, etc..) !
Our specific Desktop model are DC7100 SF, and others like DC530.
THank you a lot for your help
Conrad Z.

Re: Setting Duplex and Speed Mode by script - Broadcom GiGa Nextreme of course :-)
I am having the same issue, Microsoft dont suppor the WMI for the duplex changes as of yet, they all return a null value so cant write a script.
If anyone comes up with something would be grateful.
Regards
Neil
