Setup guides? 12k frame, 480 Gen 10 plus servers, 6820c net adapters, 2060 MSA
Hi All,
We set this up a year ago and it's flaky. We have a few 480 Gen 10 pluses in a 12000 frame, but right now I'm working on 2 of them for a small Hyper-V failover cluster to host VM's
I feel like maybe we missed a best practice or known issue, especially for the NIC and the NIC setup. HPE synergy 6820c.
I have 6820c's being presented to the OS's and I'm using SET teaming.
Two 6820's are teamed and connected to HPE 2062 MSA storage via iscsi, and the other two are the SET teamed and the connection for the VMs.
I have a few issues but the worst is, without warning, the NICs will fail, "Cluster network interface 'VMHOST2 - SAN_NIC2' for cluster node 'VMHOST2' on network 'SAN 3.x' is unreachable by at least one other cluster node attached to the network." killing VMs.
"Failed to move RSS queue 9 from VMQ 7 of switch" is another error I get, but I read this might just be a false positive from Marvel drivers.
I want to redo these machines, is there a official HPE guide for setting up server 2022 clusters (or 2025 now)? with these NICs and storage?
