SSP october 2021-node inventory failed
Greetings to the whole community.
I have tried to update my Proliant Gen.10 microserver with the latest version of the October 2021 SPP.
The server is connected to a network switch which, in turn, is connected to the internet and to my desktop pc with Win 10 Pro 64 bit.
With the latest SPP I created a bootable usb and I selected the boot with this last device.
SUM has been activated and I have chosen the interactive update.
When I started the firmware update, SUM found the "inventory of baseline" regularly.
As for the "inventory of Localhost", the software gave me the following message:
"Node inventory failed. Connection failed to node. Verify no firewalls are blocking traffic between the system running SUM and the remote node".
So I tried to temporarily disable the windows firewall on my pc, UAC and $ Admin share enabled. No activity was successful.
I thank you right now that you will be able to help me.
Marco.

Re: SSP october 2021-node inventory failed
I confirm that I have followed this procedure, but with this procedure I have not been able to install the SPP of October 2021.
Otherwise, I was able to install the May 2021 SPP by means of the VMware ESXi 7.0 ESXcli commands. using the HPE supplied bundle .zip file.
However, as I pointed out in another post, a problem persists: first, I can't use the ILo utility, which seems to be missing from the image file I mounted. I can't use this utility. Among other things, if I enter esxcli and execute this command: "/ opt / hp / tools the system issues this message:" -sh: / opt / hp / tools: not found ". .
Also, I tried to update the BIOS, but it doesn't seem possible. In fact, during the POST, only two commands appear: F2 or Del to access the APTIO Utility and F11 to enter the boot menu. There are no other commands that can be used. Also, when I log into the UEFI shell, the fwupdate and flashbios.snh commands are not listed in the UEFI shell commands. So I ask myself: how can I update the BIOS directly with a USB Key? Also, has a BIOS update been provided for this type of microserver? This is also another problem: it seems that the BIOS update should only be done by installing the SPP of October 2021 and with the ILo utility, which at the moment I cannot use.
Finally, unfortunately, I must say that the HPE documentation does not help in the slightest to clarify the problems encountered. Ultimately, at the moment, my judgment cannot be positive.
