Things to know before buy an HP server
Things to know that can happen when buying an HP server:
- It may happen that you receive a media (ROK) from HP that does not install on the server;
- It may happen that you report this to HP and have to spend days trying to install the Operating System, together with an HP technician, without success;
- It can happen that the server stops working and you have to wait days for a technician to come and replace the motherboard, and we have to deal with rescheduling for this intervention;
- It can happen that you may have to make numerous attempts to install the operating system;
- It can happen that the server stops working again, and again you have to wait days for a technician to come and replace the motherboard and the CPU, and you have to deal with rescheduling for this intervention;
- It can happen that HP might say the problem is with the media and that you'll have to pay for them to send you a new media that doesn't have the problem;
- It can happen that the Operating System still won't install even with the media that you have paid to resolve the problem;
- It can happen that the server stops working again, and again you have to wait days for a technician to come and replace "some spares" that they don't even tell you which ones;
- It may happen that they tell you to drive, for the second time 400km, to be at the customer's site on the day the HP technician makes the repair;
- It may happen that on the eve of the technician's visit you ask them to confirm it and HP tells you yes, that everything is planned for the repair the following day;
- It may happen that you travel 400km and spend all day waiting for a technician who never arrives;
- It may happen that during the day you ask HP about the technician's arrival and they tell you that there are no changes and that you just need to wait for the technician to arrive;
- It may happen that at the end of the workday you receive an email from HP saying that the technician they confirmed would come, after all, is no longer coming because they still don't have the necessary replacement parts.
Ultimately, it's good to know that all these things, and others that i didn't mention, can happen on the same brand new HP server , and that you can spend more than 4 months doing tests for HP, and you may have to lose days and drive endless kilometers trying to install an Operating System on a brand new server that neither you nor the HP technicians can install, and they insist on treating this as a normal malfunction that can be resolved without replacing the equipment.

Re: Things to know before buy an HP server
Hi @Thaufique_Mod,
I appreciate your help.
Unfortunately, it's not a matter of lack of contact. On the contrary, I've been in contact with the case owner and the responsible team for the past 4 months.
It's simply a lack of a solution.
