What happen when Microsoft Anti Spyware Beta 1 expires?

Hi folks,
Do anyone know what happen when the Microsoft Anti Spyware expires
on 31st July? I tried by changing my PC's date to 1st August and it pop
up a message saying that this version of the Anti Spyware has expires.
Is there any documentation from Microsoft that says what happen when
the Anti Spyware expires?

Thanks,
Casey

Re: What happen when Microsoft Anti Spyware Beta 1 expires?

hi casey,

i guess microsoft will continue to work on this beta till they are ready to rollout the first official release.

i do not think they will charge u for anything since such service/download should be provided because of the amount of spyware/adware out in the www.

regards.

Thanks Joseph,
However, do Microsoft requires users to redownload, uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Anti Spyware?

Cheers,

hi,

maybe, but usually if the beta version do not have too much of a problem, it may be consider an RC (called Release Copy, i think).

anyway, by default u should be prompted that the latest spyware definition is uploaded to your computer everything u r connected.

if Microsoft do decide to "plonk" us, there are lots of free anti-spyware program out there.

regards.

Got this from a microsoft Security Seminar.

A new version Beta 2 will be launched.

Later on the year, their will be a final free edition for HOME users.

Sincerly.
