Re: What the meaning of Foundation is NG
Hello,
The Operating System support matrix on the HPE site lists Windows Server 2012 R2 as supported with DL380 Gen10's. I am not sure what is meant by foundation / NG. It might be helpful if you could point to the article you indicated.

Re: What the meaning of Foundation is NG
Hello,
I checked the site you listed and I assume NG means "Not Guaranteed" or "No Go", since it is not a supported version of Windows 2012 R2 on those Gen10 servers.

Re: What the meaning of Foundation is NG
Hello,
This is in update 3 in this thread supplied by the original poster:
https://www.product-lifecycle.work/entry/2020/03/03/000000
(3rd party site)
That site lists versions of Windows Server OS's that are supported on DL360/DL380 Gen10 servers. All variations of Windows Server 2012 R2 are listed as supported, with the exception of Foundation. There is a note saying "Foundation is NG".

Re: What the meaning of Foundation is NG
Good day!
The statement indicates that there may be limitations or compatibility issues when installing Windows Server 2012 R2 with certain graphics cards on HPE DL380 Gen 10 servers.
This statement does not mean that you cannot install Windows Server 2012 R2 in graphical mode on an HPE DL380 Gen 10 server. It suggests that there might be specific graphics card configurations that are not supported for this particular operating system version on these servers.
If you intend to install Windows Server 2012 R2 with graphical mode on an HPE DL380 Gen 10 server, you should consult HPE's official documentation(You may refer this link: ), specifically the server's user manual or installation guide, for detailed information on supported hardware configurations and any specific requirements or restrictions related to graphics cards.
Additionally, you may want to reach out to HPE's support team for clarification on which graphics cards are supported for Windows Server 2012 R2 installations on the DL380 Gen 10 server and to ensure you have the correct hardware and drivers for your intended setup.
I hope this gives some insights! Let me know...
