Windows 2008 32bit Standard Memory Question

I have Windows 2008 32bit Standard installed on a Proliant DL360 G6 Server with 12 GB of RAM installed. I have the PAE switch on using the bcdedit command, but will the OS really still only see/use 4GB of RAM and the other 8GB wasted? How can I be sure the 12GB is available to the OS (other than loading 64bit)?

Thanks, Phil. I have been searching for that bit of documentation for awhile and failed to google it. Sorry I couldn't assign you 10 points as thanks. Hopefully, Darren will do it on my behalf. ;)
