XP PRO not recognising dvd-cdrw
Originally I lost the entire drive. Went into reg for the hardware and removed the upper and lower bounds. Got back the drive and dvd but still no burner is recognised.
Use not only all of your brains, but also all you can borrow

If you're using Roxio EZ-CD Creator, there are instruction on both the Roxio and Microsoft site with detailed instructions. It is caused by upgrading to the new version without first uninstalling Direct CD.
