3Par TPVV showing 100% utilisation but under OpenVMS same volume showing 50% free space

We recently configured some new 3par storage for some  OpenVMS blades running OpenVMS 8.4.  The issue we have is that on the VMS blades the disk space is showing the correct utilsation (with most disks showing at least 50% free blocks),  but on the 3par,  some of the equivalent volumes are showing 100% capacity utilization (total used /host written) and wondering what we need to do get the 3par to display the correct utilization ? See example attached.

I suspect at some point the disks on the VMS system did reach the utilisation level being displayed on the 3PAR but not sure why the 3par wasnt able to reclaim and display the correct disk utilization , once the disk space had been recovered at the VMS level).

I'm not an expert on 3PARs, but please consider: how should the 3PAR know about or track 'deleted file space' on an OpenVMS volume ? Once OpenVMS has written to a range of blocks of thin-provisioned storage, that storage has been allocated and I see no way for the 3PAR to 'free' that storge, even if the file on the OpenVMS volume would be deleted afterwards.
