Access to Bookreader on PC
Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem is, and how to fix it...

CD-ROm with bookreader is created with VMS format, you can´t read this CD directly on a XP system.
You can mount CD on VMS system and read it from PC using for example a xterm emulation (if VMS system has runnig DECwindows) and executing a dwbookreader on X emulation.

Now, that doesn't mention XP, and the people that I work with that have no problem getting it to work, are running XP systems that were upgraded from 2K, whereas mine as a clean install...

that is not quite true, there is doc CD escpeially for Windows systems with an bookreader.
I just installed the december CD on WinXP-SP2 without problems.

I think that CD-ROM was the standard distribution with VMS.
