Armada M700 hibernation resulting in missing files,NTLDR,BOOT,etc
I bought this Compaq Armada M700 used. Upgraded to XP Home, ran great until I started using stand-by and hibernation.
This ended up in black SOD with NTLDR missing.
I have tried every thing from boot disks to repair options in recovery console. I am now about to push the button and reinstall XP on the same partition after reformat to Fat32. Is there any way to save files from the corrupted OS before I reformat?

Re: Armada M700 hibernation resulting in missing files,NTLDR,BOOT,etc
Frank,
this is the forum concerning the OpenVMS operating system. may be your question is better suited in Microsoft forum:

But... maybe you can try with a linux life CD. e.g. Knoppix to rescue seom files from your harddisk.
regards Kalle
