Configuring Multiple Default Gateways.

Hi all. I need some help configuring multiple default gateways on an Alpha system (Digital 500au ~ running VMS V7.1-2). The system is setup as a dual redundant system ... each Host server has 2 network cards. Each LAN card is directly connected to dedicated interfaces within a router for one HOST server and the same setup for another router and HOST server.

Can someone please point me to some technical documents please. I've been reading on-line for a while.

Thanks, Frank

I guess you are using TCPIP 5.4

http://h71000.www7.hp.com/doc/732final/6526/6526pro_004.html#route_chap is more precise. But 7.1-2 will be a lower version of tcpip I guess.

I would try 2 default routes (for 0.0.0.0). I think it will attach the routes correctly.

We have a GS160 cluster with a common routing db and here each nodes "picks" his own default route correctly (tcp 5.3).
