CSWS 2.1 & ACCVIO
Hi,
Situation:
AlphaServer 300, 288 MB memory
OpenVMS Alpha V7.3-2 + latest patches
TCP/IP V5.4 ECO 5
CSWS 2.1 (upgraded from 1.3), config file inherited from 1.3 installation (but removed the offending directives).
Directory browsing kinda works, but is terribly slow. Also the icons are not found (directive for the icon directory is there in the config file).
Accessing an HTML-page results in an Apache process dying with ACCVIO.
I gave the Apache account lots of quota (and all privs, just to test) to no avail.
Any ideas, guys?
Kris (aka Qkcl)
PS: Can't make any changes, or do any tests since I do not have access to the site right now.

Re: CSWS 2.1 & ACCVIO
Kris,
Have you thought of running apache$config? It's a requirement (that I found when upgrading 1.3 to 1.3-1...)
I _think_ I have seem some comment on 2.1 - I think in this forum - that SWS 2.1 will not work properly when you have virtual hosts and each would have it's own errorlog - perhaps, each having an access log fore each may cause a problem as well. Icons not found may be a result of mis-configuration, there may be slight, though relevant changes. It can also mean the access times out. I've seen it using sites that yse 2.1 as well.

Re: CSWS 2.1 & ACCVIO
I should have read the release notes.
Seems that CSWS 2.1 clashes with PHP 1.2.
From the release notes at
http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/ips/apache/csws_relnotes_21.html
So, my mistake.
Greetz,
Kris (aka Qkcl)

Do not attempt to use SWS Version 2.1 with the following optional kits. Using these kits together causes a process crash. (These kits, in addition to the newer optional kits, are currently available for download from http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/ips/apache/csws.html).
PERL for OpenVMS 5.6.1 and 5.6.1-1A1
CSWS_PERL V2.0, 1.1, and 1.1-1
CSWS_PHP V1.2-1 and 1.1
CSWS_JAVA V2.1
So, my mistake.
Greetz,
