Disk Management Utility

Hello,

Back 10 years ago I experimented with Disk/File Management utilities like CSwing, DM, etc. Are these utilties still available and working in 7.3? And were could I download them please. Or are there other similar and good utilities available for VT emulation. I checked the Freeware V6 and V7, but did not find something.

Best regards,

Markus Waldorf

Re: Disk Management Utility

Hi Peter,

Thanks - I google at or for most of the things ;-) Apparently there are some troubles though with CSwing and 7.3, and maybe the OSD5 filesystem. That's why I was wondering if someone would be willing to share some hands-on experience, and might be able to recommend some good alternative software.

I found another intersting link meanwhile:

Mentioning FLIST. Guess I will give that a try, unless someone has a better recommendation. Is it possible that the freeware distribution used to be more transparent and better organized, or is it just me?! Anyway, ...

Re: Disk Management Utility

One persons idea of organization, is not necessarily that of another...

But I tend to agree, the "archives of Freeware" are difficult to dig into...

Hey, wasn't there just a posting from someone that looked like they were from HP, asking what extra things they could do...

Re: Disk Management Utility

Also on the freeware (or newer versions on Hunter Goatleys server http://www.process.com/openvms) is VTFM,
a file-manager claiming to be "Norton Commander" style.

Sorry, correct the URL for Hunters server:

(forgot to place a space before the ")".
