drivers for de500 and pcxgk-bb for vms 7.3

I have a customer with As800 that want me to install a de500 and a pcxgk graphics adaptor in an Alpha system 800 running VMS7.3 I need the drivers for de500 and pcxgk-bb for vms 7.3 and can't seem to find them. If someone can point to them would be nice. matbe they are already apart of VMS7.3

If you have VMS installed you have the driver for a DE500 available, install it and make sure the Alpha and the swtich agree on what the line speed should be (auto,10,full,half).

I'm not familiar with that graphics card. Does it have another part number or name? See http://h18002.www1.hp.com/alphaserver/archive/800/ for details on supported options.

VMS, as rule, will have driver available for the options it supports. If you have new hardware, you may need to load a patch until the next release ships.

A DE500 (-BA, I hope) uses SYS$EWDRIVER (or
SYS$EWDRIVER_DE500BA ?), which should already
be there.

If "pcxgk-bb" is actually "PBXGK-BB", then
that's an ELSA GLoria Synergy (-8) card,
which should use SYS$GZDRIVER. It's been a
while since I ran VMS V7.3, but I suspect
that that driver is in there, too, or, at
worst, there's a graphics ECO which includes
it.

I do seem (dimly) to recall needing some
fresh firmware for my AlpSta 200 4/233 so
that the console could identify the ELSA
card, but that was some time ago, too. (And
not a big deal.)

Look in SYS$LOADABLE_IMAGES to see what
exists.
