EOF operator log

I installed 8.2 on an Alphastation 500.
When I boot the system, the EOF of the operator logfile stays on 0 while allocation is at 96. Only after 5 minutes the EOF is posted.

Is there a way to influence the time used in this defered write ? I had this problem on other versions of VMS too.

It appears after a quick look at the sources for opcom that its a fixed five minutes.
