Re: Finding controllers
After reviewing this thread, I have an additional comment. What WIM is developing is already obsolete for the EVA storage.
You cannot use SET HOST/SCSI on EVA drives. You have to use a GUI tool or the SSSU script tool.

Re: Finding controllers
You're all missing the point. How can I detect the disk controllers on VMS using lexicals.
And yes, I know set ho /scsi is not going to be supported in the future (snif snif).
I want do do monitoring of each system on the system itself, not on a PC and not even from 1 remote VMS system. This simply because we have an message reporting infrastructure in place on VMS. And when we need drp, I do not want to depend on the PC or 1 VMS node.

Wim:
It's not what you would like, but:
...And when we need drp, I do not want to depend on the PC or 1 VMS node....
In that case, take a look to Cockpit Manager (created and maintained by a Belgian ex-DEC HP-guy). Needs an VMS box to run but it has fail-over facilities to another VMS box.

Re: Finding controllers
Willem,
Indeed. Johan's Cockpit could do the work but we have something simular in place.
