FTP problem
Question : UCX 4.2 running on VMS 7.1. In a perticular Server when using FTP nodename including local host, error is " %FTP-E-HSTINF, Failed to get host information for local host name(e.g. APPLE.VAX) not available in dtabase". But the fact is that every definations are intact. The problem just started today. Pls suggest

Re: FTP problem
I have the same FTP problem, also on VMS 7.1 and UCX 4.1, with the IP address:
$ ftp 10.96.xxx.xxx
%FTP-E-HSTINF, Failed to get host information for NODE01.domain.priv from database
-RMS-E-RNF, record not found
$ ucx ping 10.96.xxx.xxx
%UCX-I-LOOPACT, 10.96.xxx.xxx is alive
Any idea ?
Thank you.

Re: FTP problem
next time it's better you open a new your thread.
About your trouble, ucx V4.1 can open ftp host only if it recorded in database.
Make this:
$ ucx set host
Cheers.
