How to get TCP/IP on OpenVMS 6.2?

Hi All,

I am running OpenVMS 6.2 on a Vax server. All the reading that I have done on HP's website points to "DIGITAL TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS V4.2" as being the lastest version of this product that I can use.
The problem that I have is that I can not find out how to buy this product. I have searched HP's site with no luck.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

1st make sure, that you have no license of UCX already. Some systeme were delivered with UCX licenses, either a single UCX pak was included or the license is embedded in licenses like NAS-200, NAS-300... If you have one of those, you are already licensed to run UCX.
If not you must buy a current UCX license. This covers the current version of the product, now called TCPIP Services..., but also all older versions.

To get hold of the software kit itself, the last I know of was UCX V4.2-Eco5, maybe you find someone who can lend you a CD kit, but it also be possible to buy a kit via your HP distributor.

If you have a NAS licence then you may have a program in SYS$UPDATE: called NAS_REPORTER or similar which when ran will tell you what products are included - UCX usually was.

The V4.2 ECO kit is here

You might also consider MultiNet or TCPware which still support older VMS versions.
