Information about vminstal.history file

Is there any command by which we can determine if a Product which was installed using the VMINSTAL command is currently installed or not?

Can the vminstal.history file give us this information or is there any other file/command which can give this information?

Have you tried:

$ type sys$update:vmsinstal.history
$ prod show hist

Vineet,

good old OpenVMS layered products typically leave a SYS$HELP:.RELEASE_NOTES file around.
