Re: Insight Management agents fail to install on itanium 8.3 cluster
Robert,
I'm only on VMS 8.2-1. Installing V3.4-1 resulted in
***********************************************************
PLEASE TERMINATE THE INSTALLATION, your system is currently
running the WEB Agents. Errors will result if you continue!
The Management Agents must be stopped on this node:
To check the Management Agents execute
$SHOW SYSTEM/PROCESS = WBEM*
To stop the Management Agents run
$@SYS$SPECIFIC:[WBEM]WBEM$SHUTDOWN
or execute the STOP/ID command on the desired node(s).
***********************************************************
So I stopped the WBEM processes, and remove V82_MGMTAGENTS. After that, the installation of V3.4-1 was flawless.

Martin

Re: Insight Management agents fail to install on itanium 8.3 cluster
Hello,
I made a case at HP. I got a new kit which will install on a cluster. The problem was that a kit installed on a single node works. On a cluster it fails to install.
An update on the kit fixes the problem.
