Now, one last question and I think I'm set:

I seem to be "extremely lucky" with minimal "collisions" in IDENTIFIER values (and NO UIC conflicts!!) with a few exceptions. I have a few occurences where there are hex valued ID's - on one side it's a SYS$NODE_xxx system name and one the other it's one that was created probably for file security. What are the ramifications of creating a new SYS$NODE_xxx ID with a different value?

One last push and we're rolling down the hill ;-).

I did some reading ( :-O ) and found that SYS$NODE_xxx identifiers are created upon VMS startup.
