Motif windown will not start %DCL-W-ACTIMAGE, error activating image DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON

Has anyone seen the below error before ? Attempting to run ECP and get the below error. Just installed patches a few days ago on system.

%DCL-W-ACTIMAGE, error activating image DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON
-CLI-E-IMGNAME, image file DSA100:[SYS0.SYSCOMMON.][SYSLIB]DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON.EXE;1
-SYSTEM-F-PROTINSTALL, protected images must be installed

Never mind.

It suddenly works now.

The error message is very straight forward to interpret. It is telling you that DSA100:[SYS0.SYSCOMMON.][SYSLIB]DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON.EXE was not installed. Later when it did work the executable was installed as it should have been to start. Had you just rebooted the system prior to issuing the failing command? If so, you might have logged onto the system before DECWindows was started. Later on, after the startup routines started DECWindows, the command would work. Otherwise, my guess would be that DECWindows failed to start correctly after the patches and somebody re-executed the startup procedure for DECWindows and it worked then.

You are probably right Dale. Server rebooted last saturday after patch updates. Did not notice TRANSPORT startup messages but I was not looking too close.
