Re: OpenVMS Hobbyist License
Is this system for your personal use? That's the condition for a hobbyist license.
If the system belongs to any kind of commercial entity, or is used for business use, please contact HP to negotiate the purchase of the necessary licenses.
If it's your personal system for non-commercial use, go to http://www.openvmshobbyist.com/licenses.php

Re: OpenVMS Hobbyist License
DECUServe is now an official Hobbyist Chapter, so you need to register an account with DECUServe first to get your membership number. For details see:
http://decuserve.org/
There is a current story about this on OpenVMS.org.

Re: OpenVMS Hobbyist License
there is no password for the REGISTRATION account.
So it looks like TELNET is blocked from your site and SSH with an account without a password does not seem to work on EISNER.

Re: OpenVMS Hobbyist License
this is a 'known problem' (registration via SSH is currently not possible) - see DECUSERVE_Forum note 831.*
You need to find a way to login via TELNET for REGISTRATION (maybe from home) ?

Re: OpenVMS Hobbyist License
please be patient. This is a 'hobbyist site' for non-commercial use, so give them a couple of days.
This information is from the DECUServe.org site:
DECUServe transmits membership information to the Hobbyist Program twice
weekly, if you have recently registered on DECUServe please allow time for
transfer and processing into the Hobbyist database.

Re: OpenVMS Hobbyist License
If you're using this for software development / testing / training / whatever for or on behalf of a commercial organisation, the DSPP licenses are the best way to achieve that. You get those by signing up at http://www.hp.com/go/dspp and then (once your DSPP membership is confirmed) obtain the license PAKs by downloading them from the relevant part of the DSPP web site.

I have another problem.
I have registered in decuserve.org

Then I input the data into http://www.openvmshobbyist.com/licenses.php , press continue, I get nothing at last. No error message, no mail about license, what's happen? Can you help me?
