recovering fron rom mon mode

hi,
i am having a cisco 2600 series router. the ios has crashed.on booting it comes to Rx boot mode how do i load the ios from tftp server.what is the command i have to use for the same . i tried to change config register using command config reg 2142 it did not worked.
