Spreadsheet for OpenVMS
I've created a lot of text files with data - and would like a package to generate bar / stacked bar type charts.
Thanks in advance,
Larry

Re: Spreadsheet for OpenVMS
Good'ol datatrieve likes to read data from text files ('domains') and present them in reports as well as graphs. That product is still alive.
I just checked 'tti_intouch' from the freeware cd, but that does not seem to have graph support.
fwiw,
Hein.

Re: Spreadsheet for OpenVMS
The last version was on the VAX distro Jun2001-CD2 (4.0B). But it was VAX only and support is long gone, I fear.

Re: Spreadsheet for OpenVMS
hopefully the porting team for OpenOffice will present the release for OpenVMS very soon.
This will be very extravagant. :-)

I'm not able to find any other active references to 20/20. I'm guessing that CA killed it after buying it.
A google search also turned up XESS (which I'd never heard of) that claims to run on Linus, UNIX, VMS & WNT. They offer a trial version download.

Also found Freeware AnalyRim: http://www.ptf.com/ptf/products/UNIX/current/0115.0.html
Good luck. I'd be interested to find out what you end up going with and what you think of it.

Or the TinyURL equivalent:

You'll see a reference by Glenn Everhart to his AnalyRIM from 2002, so I'd guess that it was working on at least VMS V7.3.
You may be able to find it on one of the older OpenVMS Freeware CDs or on one of the web sites that VMS freeware.
