TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS

Hi there,
I`m newbie to HP OpenVMS
I would like to ask about TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS license

in general, do I have to get a license in order to use TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS?

and if I do Need to do so, should I buy or just download the license?

Mohammad,

you need a license to use TCC/IP Services.

Wether you have to buy one:

- if you are a hobbyist, you may download a whole bunch of licenses from the hobbyist website for free (TCPIP included)

- if commercial: often the TCPIP license is included with the system, either as standalone license UCX or TCPIP or included into a e.g. NAS licenses.
