TCPIP V5.x and LPD proxy flag
Does anyone know at what version TCPIP installations started placing the "Aprox" flag on the LPD service? I have seen it on V5.4 and V5.3 on Alpha, but not on pre-V4 or V5.1 on VAX. I haven't been able to find a reference to this in any of the release notes for the above versions.
We got caught out on this one and the LPD server rejected client connects until we removed the flag.

Re: TCPIP V5.x and LPD proxy flag
4.2 eco1 : yes (direct installation).
Another 4.3 eco1 : no (result of upgrades 4.0).
So : after 4.0.

Re: TCPIP V5.x and LPD proxy flag
I may be wrong. My ucx database is 1 year older than my first ucx installation.
The flag is set by ucx$config.com when creating the database, not after an upgrade.
ucx 4.0 eco 5 was setting the flag at creation. No older versions in stock.
