Re: VMS exam
typical question
If the available free space on disk is 200,000 blocks, and ACP_EXTLIMIT is 10, what is the extent cache's limiting value?
well, to be honest, I know this parameter exists, but I have never put a specific value on that one (on others acp_... yes)

Re: VMS exam
But I have made simular exams as a test for my http server. But for Unix general, Unix sysman, etc. But after 2 years non-active in Unix I don't get 50% on my own exams.

possible answers:

But that does not mean you will be good on a Vms site :-)

Re: VMS exam
Ego On:
I took it today and found that I scored higher than 92% of previous takers.
Ego Off:
Anybody who's worked with VMS for as long as I have (18+ years) should probably have scored higher...
:-)

Re: VMS exam
if you do ask for a test that you actually want to use in some way to "proof" something to
management I would strongly suggest to stick with the hp certifications. That way you do not
have to explain why the cert is "legitimate", it is self evident ;-)
As for the questions, they are certainly not perfect, but an effort is made to make them "fair", i.e. a candidate with the required skills should pass, while somebody "faking it" should fail. What is "required" depends on the exam. The CSA is relatively basic (at least compared to the average citizen in this forum ;-) the CSE is a bit more difficult.
Greetings, Martin

Re: VMS exam
I have taken brainbench test, and though got 97%, but not satisfied. As they give percentile score only so there is no way how much you actually scored. Also some questions were quite confusing. Anyway, its good to do some exercise free of cost :) .
I agree with Martin. One should go for HP certification.
Thanks & regards,
Lokesh
