VMS NFS and Windows SFU

We ended up scrapping it and recommending Xlink NFS client as it supports UID and GID and is relatively easy to set up. Only snag is that the V3 client support doesn't quite work against OpenVMS.

There is a CIFS Samba field test presently available from HP OpenVMS Engineering -- CIFS is the upgrade path for Advanced Server and PATHWORKS Server. And -- unlike those other SMB packages mentioned -- it's likely to be a free product download akin to Apache or Mozilla.
To answer your question, yes, I've heard of sites using SFU with the OpenVMS NFS (PCNFS) Servers. Here are a few discussions:

Because they're moving that integration deeper into the OS and a layered SFU product will simply not be needed in the future, no?
