VMS version available to Hobbyist license
Just a quick query. Have just received a XP1000 for use at home. Which versions of VMS are available for use with the hobbyist license?
cheers

Re: VMS version available to Hobbyist license
the hobbyist program is not restricted vs. VMS versions. You may install any version you can get a hold of.

Re: VMS version available to Hobbyist license
Use any version you can get - a known issue is getting media as the last hobbyist distribution by montgar in the USA was based on V7.3.
I have asked hp about this but do ask hp directly for a up to date hobbyist distribution.
Purely Personal Opinion

Re: VMS version available to Hobbyist license
I work with VMS daily so was able to borrow the media for 8-2 and 7-3-2. The 8-2 install didn't like the provided licenses, the 7-3-2 install went find and the system is now network ready but not yet fully configured.
cheers
