VMSI18N KIT LOCATION FOR OPENVMS 7.3-2

Hi all.

According to the "Run-Time Reference Manual for OpenVMS Systems", if you need internationalization support it's necessary to install the VMSI18N kit that it's supposed to be on the Layered Product CD, but I can't find it.

Can anybody tell me where I can find it?.

Ana,

this kit should be on the OpenVMS Alpha V7.3-2 Layered Products CD, which accompanies the V7.3-2 Operating System CD.

For V7.3-1 there was a [VMSI18N_ALPHA0731] top level directory on the LP CD (according to the Guide to OpenVMS Alpha Version V7.3-1 CD-ROMs).

as Volker said, this software is on VMS Alpha V7.3-2 Layered Products CD, which accompanies the V7.3-2 Operating System CD.

It is on [VMSI18N_ALPHA0732] top level directory where you cna see [.KIT] directory for install.

The CD should be labeled ALP0732LP. The directory is DKA400:[VMSI18N_ALPHA0732.KIT] and the kits are:

ALPVMSI18N04_073.A;1
ALPVMSI18N04_073.B;1
ALPVMSI18N04_073.C;1

Just read my previous response and noticed that I forgot to genericize the disk specified. The DKA400 would be replaced with the proper value for your CD drive.

Sorry for the delay in answering you but, until now, I haven't been able to reply to this topic due to server problems; however, I could give the points.

Returning to the topic, thank you for your quick answer. By mistake I was looking for the kit at the file with the Software Products CD contents instead of the layered one.

I have installed and configured the kit, and all it's ok.
