$ TCPIP Show Version
HP TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS Alpha Version V5.4 - ECO 7
on a COMPAQ Professional Workstation XP1000 running OpenVMS V7.3-2
I have an external customer that I need to be able to NFS mount a disk on his server to get our data, but I am being told that his Network Security Team is requiring I use NFSv4.
From my searching of release notes, manuals and on-line forums, etc. I have not been able to find a definitive answer.
My suspicion is that v5.4 only has NFSv3 at best and I would need to get to VMS v8.x and TCPIP v5.7 before there would be a NFSv4 client available.
Does anyone know for sure on any of these issues or know where to find the answer for what I have now?
If I had to upgrade to OpenVMS v8.3 (I don't think I have access to v8.4), would it even work on this XP1000?
Thanks in Advance for any help you can provide!
Rick

SolutionRick,
TCPIP V5.7 ECO 2 is the first version to include a NFS V3 client (see Release Notes 2.1 Network File System V3 client ), there was only a NFS V2 client before that.
AFAIK there is no NFS V4 client in TCPIP for OpenVMS.
